Structured Wiring
TeraSol proudly serves the Alberta market in providing state of the art High-Speed networks for installation into new and existing homes . Current wiring systems can simply not handle the required amount of bandwidth (information) that is delivered to homes today, let alone new technologies that will be introduced to us in the very near future. Home entertainment and communications have evolved very rapidly in recent years.
Computers
Computers in the home are certainly not new, however, as we all upgrade our older machines to newer high-speed PC’s, we end up with less capable computers with no resale value. If you terminate your new home with a home networking system, you can connect all of your computers together and be able to share resources. Now everybody in the home can have his or her own computer connected to the high-speed network with full ability to print, share devices such as CD/DVD-ROM drives, digital cameras and scanners from his or her own room and access a high-speed Internet connection.
Imagine being able to come home after work with your laptop and being able to plug into the network at the kitchen table allowing you to be just as productive at home as you are at work. You now have access to the printer in your home office without making any cabling changes or moving equipment. These networks also allow you to access digital audio and video from the Internet almost anywhere in the home.
Video
Video has evolved to be more than just TV. A home network can take the output of your VCR, DVD, Satellite or Cable feed and run it down to the distribution panel. We then use a technology called multiplexing or channel modulation to assign the output of the video device a particular channel. Let's say channel 59. We then take the modulated channel and insert it into the video distribution area of the panel. That’s it! Now every TV in the home can view the family room or home theatre DVD/Satellite on channel 59. Remote control signals can also be relayed by the system, allowing you full control over that device with a standard Universal remote control. Surveillance cameras can be “plugged” into the system to be viewed on any TV in the home or even remotely from a computer with high speed Internet connection. Now with HDMI, High Definition TV and Video signals can be shared between HDTVs throughout the home from a single source.
Telephony
Telephony has come a long way in a very short time and the future promises many more advances. We use Category 5e and Cat 6 cables to accommodate today’s technologies and provide the bandwidth needed for the future. Each outlet allows you to have multiple phone lines anywhere in your home. A great feature for home based businesses and home offices.
Conduits
Conduits can be installed in your home today to provide pathways for the cabling systems of the future. This will allow you to bring new technologies to any room in your home as soon as they are available.
